Minimum requirements for all v5 products

  • 11-inch screen
  • 2GHz Processor, or 1.5 GHz Dual Core Processor
  • 4Gb RAM
  • 1 Gb of hard disk space
  • USB2 port (for USBs)
  • We recommend external speakers and/or headphones for greater clarity

Optional: A “Voice recognition” quality microphone – Needed for 1 of the games and to record “own word lists” (for Wordshark)

School and Home Downloads

Windows 10 and 11*

Mac OSX 10.9 to 10.15 and Mac OS11 to OS15 **

The ‘Download’ Licence requires internet access only during the process of downloading and activating Wordshark/Numbershark (but not thereafter, to run the program.) 

USBs

Windows 10 and 11*

Mac OSX 10.9 to 10.15 and Mac OS11 to OS13**

The USB has to be in place for the program to run but can be moved between/used on any compatible computer.

Alert

*Please note: the programs are not compatible with Windows in S mode.  Most Win 10 S computers can be changed to Win 10 (Home) or (Pro), but this change is irreversible.

Numbershark v5 School Network Licences

Server 2016 to Server 2022

Windows 10 and 11 clients

Schools should buy a licence based on the required maximum number of students who will use the program at any one time. (concurrent users). Our network products require a Windows Service to run with dot net Framework v4.7.2 or later. Allow 400Mb RAM per concurrent user.
